Towanda Metadyne utilizes both vacuum and sinter-HIP furnaces for our sintering operation. After pressing, green compacts are sintered at high temperature in either a hydrogen or disassociated ammonia atmosphere. Sintering conditions are controlled with feedback systems linked to furnace temperature, gas flow, vacuum/pressures, and power consumption. Through the development of advanced sintering processes, Towanda Metadyne has been able to produce a wide variety of products with high precision.
